5. Insert the new lamp assuring that it is correctly seated in the guiding
slot.
6. Screw it in securely and connect the 3-pole plug into the 3-pole
socket.
7. Increase the lamp counter in the GLP-menu by one. The operating
time counter will be set to zero automatically.
8. Put the optical bench back into the instrument carefully.
9. Tighten the screw (1).
10. Switch thee detector on again and check the intensity values in the
INTENSITY menu.
Hint: If a new lamp is installed, it takes about 24 hours to reach the
optimum working conditions.
Tungsten halogen lamp
Changing the tungsten halogen lamp.
This instruction applies to the UV-Detector 2500.
1. Open the front door of the detector.
2. Unscrew screw (1) with the supplied allen key (size 4).
3. Pull the optical bench out of the housing..
4. Pull the 2-pole plug of the old lamp. Unscrew the two screws in the
lamp socket with a screw driver and remove the whole lamp from the
instrument including its socket and cables.
5. Loosen the pin screw (4) and pull the lamp out of its socket.
6. Insert the new lamp assuring that it is correctly seated in the guiding
slot and fasten the pin screw.
