Handling of fiber optical cables

Use for example DYNASEAL bushings to keep the dead volume as small
as possible and the shortest possible capillary with small internal
diameter.

Basically the instrument and cells are identical with the standard types.
Except that the cell is not fixed in front of the detector but connected by
two fiber optical cables with SMA connectors.

For instruments with fiber optical cables please follow the instructions
below:
KNAUER fiber optical cables are extremely robust and solarisation-proof.
Nevertheless fiber optical cables are sensitive to bending. The minimum
bending radius is 100 mm (short term: 70 mm).
Caution! Fiber optical connectors, like all other optical parts, should
never be touched without wearing gloves because otherwise
contaminations may reduce light intensity. Contaminated parts may
be cleaned with a soft cloth and iso-propanol.
