The instrument or the lamp do not need to be switched of for changing
the flow cell. When the flow cell is removed a error message intensity
overflow will appear in the upper display line because the analog to
digital converter gets an overflow due to the incoming light. This is not an
instrumentation fault! After having installed the new flow cell properly,
press any button to delete the error message.
Installation of the Flow Cell
This instruction refers to the UV-Detector 2500 without fiber optical
connectors.
1. Open the detector's front door.
2. Loosen the two knurled screws (1) on the cell holder's front (2) and
remove them.
2. Pull out the cell holder.
3. Take the cell or dummy cell with two fingers and remove it upward.
4. Insert the new flow cell (4) and make sure that outlet is on the upper
side and that the fixing hole on the back side of the cell meets the
corresponding metal pin (3) of the cell holder.
5. Now push the complete system towards the housing, insert the two
screws and tighten them manually.
