INFORMATION
The optimum socket length may change depending on the chosen liner. This socket length must
be observed for the final fitting with the product.
6.3 Information on using the check socket
Reinforcing the liner
2
Suspension of the liner on the check socket
When a liner from a previous fitting is used, note that the suspension between the liner and check
socket may be less than the suspension between the definitive socket and definitive liner. This
means it may only be possible to verify the fit, pressure distribution and handling, but not the gait
pattern.

7 Preparation for use

7.1 Required machines, tools and materials
743S10 Callipers
743B4 Self-retracting tape measure
714U4 Pin punch set (ø 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm pin punches)
710D20 Torque wrench (up to 25 Nm)
709Y1 Torque screwdriver

When longer side rail assemblies are combined with shorter shell
assemblies, a window is formed in the distal area of the socket,
respectively on the frontal and dorsal sides, and soft tissue of the
residual limb (see fig. 2, item 1) may be squeezed out here when a
load is put on the socket. This leads to increased axial pistoning
between loading and unloading the socket, and an increased pres
sure load on the medial socket brim. Therefore, excessive squeez
ing out of soft tissue has to be prevented by reinforcing the liner
(e.g. by applying a circular hook-and-loop strap) in the area of the
windows (see fig. 2, item 1).
► Screw the magnetic cap, threaded version
(see fig. 1, item 2) to the M10 connection
thread of the liner (see fig. 1, item 1) with
the
corresponding
screw.
INFORMATION: The liner must have a
connection cover with a central M10
connection thread.
