Microwaves

Types of heating

These are converted to heat when they come into
contact with food. The microwave is ideal for rapid
defrosting, heating up, melting and cooking.
Microwave settings:
850 watts for heating up liquids.
600 watts for heating up and cooking food.
360 watts for cooking meat and heating up
delicate foods.
180 watts for defrosting and continued cooking.
90 watts for defrosting delicate foods.
Q
Hot air
A fan in the rear panel distributes the heat of the ring
heating element evenly inside the oven. This is ideal
for baking cakes and pastries. Hot air is also suitable
for roasting in covered or uncovered dishes. You can
set a temperature of 40 ºC for keeping food warm or
to allow yeast dough to rise.
R
Hot air grilling
Grill and ring heating element run parallel. The fan
swirls the heat given off around the food. During the
pause in heating, the fan circulates the heat
generated by the grill around the food. This ensures
that pieces of meat are crisped and brown on all
sides.
x
Grilling
The entire area under the grill element is heated. You
can grill steaks, sausages, fish or toast.
Combination baking, roasting and grilling with the
microwave
This involves the simultaneous operation of the
microwave and another type of heating. The food will
still become crispy and brown like before, but will do
so much more quickly and using less energy.
