Use the 1 key to select upper and lower case characters while entering
text messages. Use the 0 key to add a space character or to select
a special character. Use the * key to switch from text entry mode to
navigation mode and vice versa. Use the # key to stop text message
entry.
Hint: In case you cannot look at the display while entering text messa-
ges, e.g. because you remotely enter the text message, use configura-
tion step 62 instead to enter text messages.
Display and delete or enter and edit text line by line:
62
Text [beep] line [beep]
Via configuration step codes 61 and 62 you may enter or edit texts.
This step is especially useful in case you cannot look at the display
directly. To simplify the process, there is no navigation mode and
you get to enter the text line by line. To do so, this configuration step
expects you to enter the text number (1-5) and the line number (1-4).
After you have entered the line number, the text will be displayed and
after the beep, you may start entering the text for the line in question.
In case you add the * symbol prior to the text number, the previously
saved text will be deleted before editing and in case you add the *
symbol prior to the line number, the previously saved text for the line
in question will be deleted before editing.
Use the letter codes on your telephone keypad as explained in con-
figuration step 61. The only difference is that you need to press the *
key or start entering a character located on a different key to move to
the next character. Waiting for approx. one second will not move the
cursor to the next position. One line may hold text of up to 20 charac-
ters. Use the 1 key to change upper and lower case while entering text.
Use the 0 key to add a space character or several special characters.
Use the # key to stop text entry.
Hint: In case you get to look at the display while entering the desired
text, (e.g. because you are standing in front of the device and enter the
desired text by mobile phone), it is easier to use configuration step code
61.
