How to save energy

Install the appliance in a dry room that can be

ventilated; not in direct sunlight or in the proximity of a
heat source (e.g., radiator, cooker). If necessary, use
an insulating plate.
Allow warm food and beverages to cool before

putting them into the appliance.
Put frozen foods that are to be thawed out into the
D
fridge. In this way, you will be using the cold food to
cool the food in the fridge compartment.
Keep fridge and freezer compartment drawers open
D
for as short a time as possible!

Operating noises

Normal noises

Humming cooling unit is running. Air circulation fan is
running.
Bubbling, whirring or gurgling noises refrigerant is
flowing through the pipes. Water flowing into the ice
maker.
Clicking motor is switching on or off. Solenoid valve at
the water connection is opening or closing.
Rumbling finished ice cubes from the ice maker are
falling into the ice cube container.

Noises that are easy to remedy if

The appliance is not level
Align the appliance so that it is standing level by using a
spirit level (see Aligning the appliance").
The appliance is touching adjacent units or
appliances
Move the appliance away from adjoining furniture or
appliances.
Drawers, baskets or storage surfaces are loose or
sticking
Check the parts that can be removed and possibly
replace them.
Containers are touching each other
Move bottles or containers away from each other.

Defrosting

The defrosting is performed automatically.

To switch off the appliance

1 Keep fridge compartment button Ó (warmer)
pressed until __" appears in the display.
2 To restart the appliance, press the Ô fridge or
freezer compartment button.

Disconnecting the appliance

1 Switch off the appliance.
2 Pull out mains plug or switch off circuit breaker!
For a shorter period of non use
(up to 3 months)

Remove all easily perishable food from the appliance.

Likewise, remove frozen food if no one can check on
the appliance.
3 Turn off water supply (1 day before switching off the
ice maker).
4 Empty ice cube container.
5 Raise arm and bring into the locked position to switch
off the ice maker.
6 Allow remaining water to run out.
7 Remove and dispose of filter cartridge if the
appliance is not expected to be used for more than
14 days. Install bypass cover.
If there is danger of the ambient temperature falling
under 13 ºC, follow the instructions for the extended
period of non use.
