Installation of the appliance

Important information

These instructions are intended to help you with the
installation of your new appliance.
However, the manufacturer can not be held liable for an
improper installation.
We recommend that assembly be left to our customer
service.
The appliance may only be connected by an
authorised installer according to these installation
instructions.
The water connections must always be made before
the electrical connections.
In addition to the statutory national regulations, the
connection requirements of the local electricity and
water supply companies are to be observed.
Store the installation instructions in a safe location.
Information on warm housing surfaces
It may happen that the housing of the appliance feels
warm. This is intended and ensures that no condensation
takes place on the housing. This heating effect is stronger
when the appliance is first used, when outside
temperatures are high, or after the door has been opened
frequently.

Installation location

A dry room that can be ventilated is suitable. The
installation location should not have direct exposure to
the sun and should not be in the proximity of a heat
source such as a stove, radiator, etc. If installation next to
a heat source is unavoidable, use a suitable insulating
plate or maintain the following minimum distances to the
heat source:
From electric cookers, 3 cm.
D
From oil or solid fuel cookers, 30 cm.
D
The floor at the setup location must be rigid; reinforce the
floor if necessary. For the ice maker to function properly,
the appliance must stand upright.
Note the ambient temperature and ventilation
The climate class is on the nameplate. It indicates the
range of ambient temperatures within which the
appliance can be operated.

Ventilation
Under no circumstances are the ventilation openings on
the base panel in front to be covered. Otherwise, the
refrigerating unit must work harder and this will increase
the power consumption.
With subfloors or floor coverings such as carpets, tiles,
cork or wood floorings, the exhaust cross section can be
reduced due to a change in height of the appliance. The
appliance is to then be raised higher. See section
Aligning the appliance".

Installation in corners

With a free standing or built in appliance, the following
minimum clearances are to be maintained:
upward 7 mm
each side 5 mm
to the rear 20 mm
If the counter protrudes by 25 mm, then the edges of the
worktop are to be trimmed at an angle of 45º.
With fully integrated appliances, the minimum side
clearances are to be increased:
left:
60 mm
right:
45 mm
Only then can the fruit and vegetable drawers, and the
Fresh Cool compartment be completely removed.
To enable the doors to be opened as far as possible, the
minimum lateral distances are to be increased slightly
when installing in a corner of a room.
Important note:
For installation in a corner where the upper part of the
appliance is completely covered, the distance from the
floor to above the hinge cover must be measured to
ensure the proper clearance.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damages to
property that are caused by improper installation or
improper water connections.
