Setup "System"

System Info
With System Info you receive information on the saved software version on the device. This
information is generally only necessary for technicians.
DivX VOD
This menu item contains the DiVX registration code you need to take advantage of the video-on-demand
offer on the DiVX home page () and the offers made by a range of other suppliers. Video-on-demand files
are usually video films which can be downloaded from Internet sites for a fee. In order to play these films
with your DVD player you first have to set up a user account on the DivX homepage and state the
registration code of your DVD receiver to register the device. A different registration is required for each
DVD device that supports DivX. Please refer to the DivX homepage for more information. The registration
code is only required if you have downloaded video-on-demand files to your PC, burned them to CD/DVD
and want to play them back on your DVD player. The registration code is not required for traditional DivX
files that are not video-on-demand files.
Factory Setting
Here you can reset the device to the factory settings. Please note that afterwards you automatically carry out
the four steps to set up the device as for initial operation; see 13.
 To use the factory reset confirm by pressing ENTER.
 If you want to play back the list go to Playback and press ENTER. Press MENU to cancel the process.
For the subsequent four steps please refer to Setup "Language" onwards.
Please note that a new password is retained even after completing the factory reset.
SETUP „DISK"
This menu option can only be selected if a blank DVD has been inserted.
Dimensions
DVDs or CDs which still do not contain any data are automatically formatted the first time
they are inserted in the DVD/video recorder and are thus prepared for recording. If this does not occur you
can format the medium manually here.
It is also possible to format previously used media. All the data on a DVD or CD is deleted.
Finalise
This menu option can only be selected if a blank DVD (DVD+R) has been inserted.
Confirm your entry with ENTER to finalise recording on a CD-R or DVD±R , so that you can also play it on
other DVD players. You are asked to confirm your entry with ENTER. Please note that a DVD which has
been finalised can no longer be written on.
DVD±RWs cannot be finalised and can usually be played on other DVD devices.
Protected
In order to prevent accidental recordings on a DVD, you may protect the DVD, thus saving it from further
recordings. This procedure can be cancelled, so that recordings are again possible once the protection has
been removed.
Label
Each DVD can be given a name. It is freely selectable. Proceed as follows:
 Choose the Protected menu item and press ENTER.
