Clock setting
You can set the time and date here as described in chapter Setting the date and time. This is essential for
programming recordings.
Setting channels
 Move the cursor bar using the left  or right  arrow buttons over the programme position that you
wish to set. The channel appears in the background.
 Press ENTER to open a submenu with the following options:
Top Select this menu item and press ENTER to move the selected channel up one
position.
Bottom Select this menu item and press ENTER to move the selected channel down one
position.
Edit Select this menu item and press ENTER to rename the channel.
You will find the procedure for entering characters in Manual setting on page 32.
Delete Select this menu item and press ENTER, to delete the selected channel from the list of
programmes.

Setup "Record"

VCR Quality / DVD Quality
You can set the quality of the next recording in this entry. You can choose between five
possible recording speeds or qualities, whereby higher picture quality means lower
recording capacity:
H Q (High Quality) highest picture quality (DVD only);
S P (Standard Play) very good picture quality;
L P (Long Play) good picture quality (VCR only);
E P (Extended Play) better picture quality (DVD only);
S L P (Super Long Play) acceptable picture quality (DVD only);
 Select a recording format and confirm by pressing ENTER. The setting is saved and used for the next
recording.
Chapter marking
You have the option of subdividing a recording automatically into chapters. This facilitates an overview
during playback.
O f f : No chapters are created automatically;
5 M i n : Chapter markers are set around every 5 minutes
1 0 M i n : Chapter markers are set around every 10 minutes;
1 5 M i n : Chapter markers are set around every 15 minutes;
20 Min: Chapter markers are set around every 20 minutes.
