Getting started

Unpacking the appliance

Remove all packaging materials including the film on the front of the unit.
CAUTION!
Do not let children play with the plastic film. There is a risk of suffocation!

Check package contents

Unpack the unit and ensure that the following parts are included:

DVD/Video recorder

SCART cable

Aerial cable

Remote control

2 microbatteries (1,5 V, AAA, R03/LR03)

Operating instructions and warranty documents

Inserting the batteries in the remote control

Two 1.5 V batteries (AAA size) are supplied for the remote control.
 Press the catch and remove the battery compartment lid, in the
direction shown by the arrow.
 Insert the batteries so that the negative end is placed next to the
springs.
 Push the battery compartment lid shut.
WARNING!
There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly. Replace only with
the same or equivalent type.
