Recording onto videocassette

Manual recording

This is how to make a manual recording:
 Insert a videocassette in the recorder. Make sure that the tape has been wound back, i.e. that there is
enough empty tape for the recording.
 Choose the desired recording quality by repeatedly pressing the REC MODE button on the remote
control.
SP: standard quality, approx. three hours recording time with an E-180 cassette;
LP: extended play, approx. six hours recording time with an E-180 cassette;
 Press INPUT to select the input source from where you want to record:
P R x
for recording the television programme, provided there is an aerial connection. Select
the channel from which you would like to record (P R 1 , P R 2 , PR 3 ,etc.);
A V 1 , A V 2
for a device that is connected with the DVD/video recorder via the SCART IN socket.
F A V
for a device that is connected to the DVD/video recorder via the front AV connections
(yellow, white and red);
D V
For a device that is connected to the DVD recorder via the DV IN socket.
If you use a SAT or a DVB-T receiver, you must select the channel on these devices.
 With the AUDIO button, you can set the audio channel of stations which broadcast in dual channel
sound.
Recording
 Press REC on the remote control or front of the device to start the recording.
 You can pause and restart the recording by pressing PLAY/PAUSE.
 When you want to stop recording press STOP. Your recording has now finished.
OneTouch recording
A OneTouch recording makes it possible to record for a set period.
 In order to start recording for a specified period, press the REC button several times. Each time you press
the button, recording time is extended by 30 minutes. The recording time is shown in the device display.
The maximum recording time depends, however, on the storage space available on the disk.
 Recording stops automatically at the end of the selected recording time.

Automatic recording

You can program up to 16 recordings with your DVD/video recorder.
Proceed as follows to program a recording:
 Ensure that the time and date are set correctly on the device and,
if necessary, reset them from S E T U P > I N S T A L L A T I O N > S e t
T i m e .
 Insert a videocassette in the recorder. Check if there is enough
space left on the cassette.
 Press TIMER on your remote control to open the timer menu.
 You can see a list of the pre-programmed recordings, provided recordings have been entered. Select an
empty memory slot, using the up and down arrow keys  . It is marked with - - - .
