Front
1. STANDBY/ON: Switches the device on and off
2. Cassette slot (VCR)
3. CD/DVD slot (DVD)
4. EJECT: eject cassette
5. RECORD: start recording; press several times
to set the recording time
6. STOP: stop playback or recording
7. PLAY/PAUSE: Start playing back a cassette or
DVD; pauses the playback or recording
8. REW:
DVD: Skip to previous chapter
VCR: winds cassette back; faster
backwards search during playback
9. FF:
DVD: Skip to next chapter
VCR: Winds cassette forward;
fast forward search during playback
10. Front display: Shows the DVD/VCR's current
status
11. OPEN/CLOSE (DVD): Opens/closes the disk slot
12. PR +/-: Choice of saved TV channels; navigation
through DVD menus
13. SELECT DVD/VCR: Select DVD and VCR modes
14. COPY: Starts the copy function from DVD to VCR
or VCR to DVD
