Setting the date and time
Step six is to set the date and time. This is essential for programming recordings. The device automatically
sets the correct time using the channel signal.
Check if the date and time displayed are correct.
If they are not correct, go to the place where there is an error, using
the left and right arrow keys and then use the up and down
arrow keys , to set the correct figure.
If the date and the time are set correctly or you have entered the data,
confirm this step with ENTER.
This completes the initial installation for the device. Confirm the screen by
pressing ENTER.
DVD player
Inserting a disc
Make sure that there is about 15 cm of space in front of the disc compartment so that it can open without
hindrance.
With the device switched on, press the OPEN/CLOSE button.
Insert a disc into the disk compartment with the title side upwards. Make sure that you place the disc in
the middle of the disc holder so that it does not stick when you close the compartment.
Press the OPEN/CLOSE button. The disc compartment closes.
DVDs start playing automatically after a few seconds. The on-screen display depends on the type of disc
(DVD, video CD, music CD, MP3 or JPEG CD).
You may need to press PLAY/PAUSE or a menu may appear in which you need to make a selection using
the arrow keys.
Playback functions (DVD, VCD, CD, DivX)
PLAY
Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback. The playback icon is displayed on the screen.
PAUSE
You can interrupt the play mode by pressing PLAY/PAUSE again. The pause icon is displayed on the
screen.
SLOW (slow motion playback)
Press SLOW +/-, to replay the picture forward (+) or backward (-) in slow motion. You change the slow
motion steps each time the button is pressed: 1/2 – 1/4 - 1/8 - 1/16 - OFF.
STOP
Press STOP once to stop playback. In this mode you can continue the playback from the same place
using PLAY/PAUSE (resume play).
Press STOP again to stop the DVD. The unit is now in stop mode.
