Transport manually, Fig. 4
To transport the splitter, you have to drive the riving knife
all the way down. Tilt slightly the splitter with the handle
on the splitting column until the machine inclines to the
wheels and can be moved.
Transport by crane:
Never lift the machine on the splitting knife!
Storing conditions:
The following conditions are required:
• Dry storing place under roof
• Maximum humidity 80 %
• Temperature range ­20 °C to +60 °C
The machine should operate under the following environ­
mental conditions:

Setting up
Prepare the work place where the machine is to stand.
Create sufficient space in order to allow safe working
without disturbance.
The machine has been designed for working on a level
surface. It must therefore be set up in a stable position
on firm ground.
Assembly
For reasons of packing, your log splitter is not completely
assembled.
Install control arms, Fig. 5
• Insert the control arm (A) into the rocker switch (B),
with hexagon socket screw (C), screw washer and lock
nut. Pull off the lock nut just enough so the control
arm can still move.
• Now attach the other control arm in the manner de­
scribed above.
Install hoop guard, Fig. 6
• The hoop guard (D) shall be mounted on both control
arms with the supplied screws.
