1.
WORK AREA
•
Keep your work area clean and tidy.
•
Disorder and insufficiently illuminated work areas
can lead to accidents.
•
Do not use this tool in a potentially explosive envi
ronment containing combustible liquids, gases or
dust.
•
The engine generates heat, which may ignite the
dust or vapours.
•
Keep children and bystanders away while using the
machine remotely.
•
Allowing yourself to get distracted can cause you to
lose control of the tool.
2.
Handle Fuel Safely
•
To avoid personal injury or property damage, take
extra care when handling fuel.
•
Fuel is highly flammable, the vapours are explosive.
•
Avoid smoking cigarettes, cigars or pipes in working
area and remove all possible sources of ignition.
•
Use only approved fuel containers.
•
Never open the filler cap or fill in with fuel while the
engine is running.
•
The engine must be cooled before fuel is poured in.
•
Never refuel the machine indoors.
•
Never store the machine or the fuel tank near open
flames or potential ignition sources.
•
Never fill the fuel tank inside a vehicle, on a truck
or a trailer with cover.
•
Always fill up the tank on solid ground at a safe
distance from the vehicle.
•
Should fuel be sprayed on your clothes, take off the
clothes immediately.
•
Do not overfill the fuel tank.
•
Close the fuel tank carefully.
•
If the fuel tank must be drained, this should be
done outdoors.
•
Never transport the splitter while the engine is run
ning.
•
Never refuel the machine in confined spaces.
•
Before turning on the engine you need to clean the
tank and the machine from gasoline residues.
•
Heated gas expands. Do not fill the fuel tank to the
edge, but leave a little space so that hot gas can
expand.
•
The fuel cap has a ventilation slot for the discharge
of gasoline vapours.
•
Always use an original gas cap.
•
Failure to observe the gasoline safety can cause fi
res and explosions; they can cause serious injuries
as well as damage the equipment and property of
others.
•
The filling of fuel into a running or hot engine can
cause an explosion.
•
Before refuelling, always switch off the engine and
let it cool for a few minutes.
•
Remove wood shavings and other debris from the
machine. Keep the machine clean, so you can in
crease its performance.
•
Engine, transmission and muffler will be very hot
when the engine running in a matter of minutes. In
any case touch these equipment parts.
