Instruction manual
supplementary heating surface deflector valve:
- close deflector valve:
Heating gases are transferred over sup-
plementary heating surface. This may only be done
when the door is closed.
- open deflector valve:
Heating gases are directly transferred into
the chimney. The door can be opened in this position.
Throttle valve:
- turn to left:
Valve is closed:
- turn to right:
Valve is opened: Exhaust gases pass into
the chimney without being obstructed. The door can
be opened now.
Note: If the fireplace insert is in operation, the throttle
valve may never be closed!
The most important requirement for a good function-
ing of your fireplace insert is dry natural wood with a
maximum residual moisture of 20%. Split logs with a
length of 33 cm is most suitable for utilisation in the
fireplace. The wood will only achieve an optimum
heating value if stored in a dry place under the roof
under well ventilated conditions for more than two
years. You will save a lot of heating costs when using
dry wood. Beech wood is particularly suited as fire-
wood.
Due to wet wood which has a much lower heating
value, the door of your fireplace insert will steam up
with soot even quicker. However, it is normal that
the door steams up with soot after 8-10 operating
hours.
Burning wet and other unsuitable wood promotes the
formation of shining soot (pitchy debris in the chim-
ney).
