7.5. Heating with Ceramic Flue (supplementary heating surface)

Note: Only permissible if fireplace insert is not operated
according to design A1 (= self-closing door).
Note: The open installation may only be operated under
supervision (sparks, flue gas leaking into the living
room).
Note: During open operation, fans creating underpres-
sure (kitchen, WC) should not be operated.
If your installation is equipped with ceramic flue (or
with a metallic supplementary heating surface), you
must observe the following:
Deflexion of the heating gases via the supplementary
heating surface may only be done 10 minutes upon
firing at the earliest. Otherwise, there may be the risk
of an uncontrolled leakage of exhaust gases via the
door.
During the heating operation via the supplementary
heating surface the door may not be opened (leak-
age of exhaust air).
In order to refeed wood, the deflector valve must be
opened first and then the door.
