Durch die zu kleine Temperaturdifferenz zwischen der Abgasanlage und der Aussenluft baut sich im Abgaskanal zu wenig Förderdruck auf. Die Rauchgase werden nicht abgeführt. Ein sogenanntes Lockfeuer, welches in kurzer Zeit viel Wärme produziert, kann den Stau unter Umständen auflösen.
