What if...?

. . . the fireplace does not work correctly and fumes leak
into the room?
Is the possibly present throttle valve open?
Is the possibly present deflector valve in the correct posi-
tion?
Is the combustion air shutter open?
Is the exhaust air fan in the kitchen switched off?
Do you use dry wood?
Do you use dissimilar fuels?
If you can answer all these questions with YES, contact your
fireplace constructor.
. . . the room does not get warm enough?
Are the supply air/hot air screens open?
Are the circulating air/ambient air screens open?
Has the possibly present throttle valve been throttled during
heating operation?
Does the possibly present deflector valve deflect the heating
gases to the supplementary heating area?
Has the combustion air shutter been throttled to half perfor-
mance during heating operation?
Do you use the correct wood type?
If you can answer all these questions with YES, contact your
fireplace constructor.
. . . the fire burns down too quickly and uncontrolled?
Has the possibly present throttle valve been throttled?
Has the combustion air shutter been throttled?
Are all sealings on the inside of the door frame undamaged?
Has the furnace door been closed correctly?
If you can answer all these questions with YES, contact your
fireplace constructor.
. . . soot steams up on the ceramic glasses too quickly?
It is normal that soot steams up on the glasses after 8 to 10
hours in operation.
Did you really use dry, natural wood?
Don't you burn waste in your fireplace?
Do you keep the throttle valve, if any, 50% open during
heating operation?
Do you always keep the combustion air shutter open (min.
20-50%)?
If you can answer all these questions with YES, contact your
fireplace constructor.
