b) Belt Tension
The belt tension should be checked regularly and corrected if necessary.
The tooth belt used must not run too hard or be set too tight! This will cause a higher power intake, which
not only lowers the driving time but also overloads the electric motor or speed controller and will destroy
them!
If the tooth belt is too loose, it will slip. This will destroy the tooth belt within seconds.
Set the tooth belt tension so that the tooth belt
can be pushed in up to about 4-5mm without
applying a lot of force.
Loosen the screw (see arrow in the image)
slightly to move it a little.
For fastening, you will also require a hexagon
wrench to hold the nut between the tensioner
pulley and the rechargeable battery holder, so
that the screw can be tightened again.
