b) Before operation
• Unroll the aerial wire of the receiver in the model to its complete length. Parts protruding from the model must not be bent toward the front, attached to the
model or cut off. Reception is optimal when the aerial wire loosely protrudes from the model and is dragged along in flight.
• Make sure that no other models are operated on the same channel (transmitter frequency) within the range of the remote control. Otherwise, you will lose
control of the remote-controlled models! Always use different channels if you wish to operate two or several models in the immediate proximity of each other
simultaneously.
• Regularly check the functional reliability of your model and the remote control system. Watch out for visible damage such as defective plug connections or
damaged cables. All moving parts of the model must run smoothly, but should not have any play in their bearings.
• Charge the flight battery necessary for operation as well as rechargeable batteries in the remote control according to the instructions provided by the
respective manufacturer.
• If batteries are used as the power supply of the transmitter, make sure that there is sufficient remaining capacity (battery tester). If the batteries are empty,
always replace the complete set, never replace individual cells.
• Before operation, always check the settings of the trim slider on the transmitter for the various steering directions and, if necessary, adjust them.
• To operate your model, always pull out the telescopic aerial completely as the transmitter would otherwise cover a decisively smaller range and the amplifier
of the transmitter would be overloaded significantly.
• Always switch on the transmitter first. Then the flight battery of the model may be connected. Otherwise, the electric model plane might show unpredictable
responses and the propeller might start unintentionally!
• Always check if the propeller is correctly and securely installed before operating the product.
• Make sure that no objects or body parts are in the range or the suction area of the propeller while it is rotating.
c) During Operation
• Do not take any risks when operating the product! Your own safety and that of your surroundings depend on your responsibly handling the model.
• Improper operation can cause serious personal injury or material damage! Therefore, during operation, make sure there is sufficient safe distance to persons,
animals or objects.
• Select a suitable area to operate your model plane.
• Fly your model only if your ability to respond is unrestricted. Tiredness or the influence of alcohol or medicine can lead to false responses.
• Do not fly your model towards spectators or towards yourself.
• Never point the telescopic aerial of the transmitter directly towards the model. This significantly impairs signal transmission to the model.
• The motor, the speed controller and the flight battery can heat up during operation. For this reason, wait for 5 to 10 minutes before recharging or replacing the
flight battery. The drive motor must have cooled down to ambient temperature.
• Always leave the remote control (transmitter) turned on as long as the model is in operation. After landing, first disconnect the flight battery or switch off the
model. Only then may you switch off the remote control.
• In case of a fault or a malfunction, rectify the problem before using the model again.
• Do not expose your model or the remote control to direct sunlight or excessive heat over a long period of time.
