c) Mounting the rudder

The rudder (2) is glued to the tailplane (1) with three hinges (3) the same way
as the elevator.
d) Mounting the elevator linkage
Seen in flight direction, the insert for the rudder horn for the elevator linkage is
located on the bottom of the right elevator rudder blade.
Slide one of the 50 cm long rods (2) into the right Bowden pull tube in the
fuselage (1) from the inside. The "bent Z" must be located on the inside of the
fuselage and will be attached to the rudder horn of the elevator servo later on.
On the bottom of the right elevator flap (3) mark the rudder horn (4) in a way
that ensures straight linkage. Carefully drill the holes for the rudder horn with a
matching drill into the elevator flaps and insert this with two screws M2 x 15. On
the top, mount the counter plate of the rudder horn. Please cut off the excess
length of the attachment screws.
Attention!
To ensure that elevator deflections are equal upwards and
downwards, the elevator arm has to be adjusted so that the row of
holes in the elevator arm is in line with the centre of rotation of the
elevator.
Drill open the outer hole of the rudder horn with a 2mm drill bit. Insert the rod
connection (5) into the open hole, place a washer on the thread side, and
secure the rod connection with a nut so it does not come loose. Add a drop of
screw retainer lacquer on the thread. Stick the elevator rudder linkage into the
linkage connection.

e) Installing the rudder linkage

For the installation of the rudder linkage, see the installation of the aileron
linkage.
When installing the rudder, make sure that the row of holes of the rudder arm is
in line with the centre of rotation of the rudder.
