9. Basic functions

a) Switching On/Off

Briefly push the button " " (4) on the screen/DVR for 2 seconds to switch the screen/DVR on or off. With the screen/
DVR switched on, the small red power LED (3) to the left of the button lights up.
The Li-Ion-rechargeable battery installed in the screen/DVR is usually flat at first commissioning. If the
screen/DVR cannot be switched on, operate it via the enclosed mains adapter; the rechargeable battery is
charged as well here. Observe chapter 8.
The radio camera cannot be switched on or off. It works permanently if the voltage/power supply is con-
nected.
After activation of the screen/DVR and commissioning of the radio camera, the screen of the radio camera should
appear after a few seconds. When the signal of a radio camera is received, the LED (5) will light up green.
If no image appears, the radio camera must be taught in to the screen/DVR first. This is specifically the case when
you separately purchase additional radio cameras (one is enclosed, up to 3 more can be ordered as accessories; you
can operate a total of 4 radio cameras on the screen/DVR).

b) Calling/leaving OSD menu

Briefly push the "MENU" button (6). Then the main menu is displayed.
To leave the OSD menu, also briefly push the button "MENU" (6) (several times if required, if the screen/DVR is in a
submenu).

c) Activating/deactivating AV output

Use the button "AV" (8) to switch between playback of the AV-signal on the screen/DVR and the AV-output.
If the AV-output is activated, the screen/DVR LC-display goes out. Concurrent display on the LC display
and the AV output is not permitted.
Connect the AV output (14) to an analogue AV input of a screen or TV via the enclosed AV cable.

d) Setting the volume

The radio camera used does not have any microphone; therefore, setting of the volume via the control buttons
"
" (increase volume) or "
when these buttons are pushed.
If you can hear noise from the speaker on the rear of the screen/DVR, reduce the volume to the lowest set
value.
" (reduce volume) is irrelevant. The display shows the current volume with a bar display
