REPLACING THE BRAKE BLOCKS

1. The brake blocks must be replaced
if the slanting grooves are worn away
(29). Rims have their own unique char-

safe unit with them.
Because there are many different types
of brake blocks, we advise that you

in, adjust them by tightening the cable
adjusting screws on the brake grips.

the cable clamping bolt (A) and pull up
the cable slightly (33). This same bolt
is also used for replacing the cable, if
necessary.

brake grip. This helps to prevent sud-
