10. Click the magnetic fastener on
the axles into place. The disconnected
frame is held in place by this fastener.
The bicycle is now folded up.

UNFOLDING YOUR BICYCLE

1. Loosen the magnetic fastener on
the axles. Reassemble the frame and
place the bicycle on the stand. Make
sure that none of the cables become
jammed in the frame hinge.
2. Secure the frame hinge clamp. A
certain degree of strength is required
to turn the quick release lever. If the
quick release lever is too loose, have it
adjusted by your Batavus dealer.
3. Pull up the steering tube.
4. Secure the handlebar hinge clamp
as described in point 2. The clamp must
be securely fi xed! Make sure that none
of the cables become jammed in the
handlebar hinge.
5. Raise the saddle pin to the correct
height. A certain degree of strength is
required to turn the quick release lever.
The resistance is adjustable. Ensure that
the maximum safety height mark is in
the frame and therefore not visible!
6. Unfold the pedals and click them
into position.
7. Make sure that the two quick release
levers (on the frame and the handlebar
hinge clamp) have been secured with
the extra safety locks! Your bicycle is
ready for use.

FOLDING UP YOUR BICYCLE

1. Place your bicycle on its stand (18).
2. Fold the pedals in, as follows:
A) push the pedal in the direction of
the crank and then fold the pedal in
(19)
B) if you have another type of pedal,
you must pull it away from the crank to
be able to fold it in (20).
3. Place the right crank (on the chain
side) upwards in the direction of the
middle of the horizontal back fork (21).

4. Loosen the saddle pin clamp (A)
(22). Press the saddle pin down as far
as possible, with the nose of the saddle
pointing straight forward.
5. Loosen the Ergo Matic steering pin
(see Technique / Ergo Matic), position it

so that it is pointing straight upwards
(23) and tighten it.
6. Loosen the handlebar hinge clamp
(24) to enable folding.
