f) Mounting differentials on the chassis
Screw the two suspension arm holders into the front part of the chassis
plate. To do so use 4 counter-sunk self-tapping screws (thread length
B
8 mm).
On the suspension arm holders there is an "A" and "B" labelling (see
the circular mark in the figure on the right).
Ensure the correct orientation when fastening the screws; check the
correct position; the holes in the chassis plate for the attachment of
the differential must be left open and not be covered.
A
Attach the front differential with 4 counter-sunk self-tapping screws
(thread length 10mm).
Carry out the mounting of the rear suspension arm holders as with
B
those at the front.
A
Before you screw the rear differential tight, place the cardan shaft
between the two differentials.
Only then may you attach the rear differential to the chassis with 4
counter-sunk self-tapping screws (thread length 10mm).
If necessary adjust the motor on the motor attachment so that the
differential can be inserted.
Now set the distance between the motor pinion and main cog, see
chapter 7. e).
