2.1. Column Series 5
For columns 5-5501; 5-5502; 5-5503; 5-5504; 5-5505; 5-5506
Please ensure that the column and the Series 5 intercom station you wish to install are compati-
ble to each other prior to installation (the cover panel differs depending on the height of the door
intercom station).

Guide the connection cables through the
column base, prior to screwing the column to
the foundation. Use hex screws and plugs, stud
bolts or stay bolts to fix the Series 5 column to
the concrete foundation (see chapter "1. Foun-
dation sketch" on page 31). We recommend
using screws etc. with a 10mm diameter and a
length of 120mm minimum.
Important! Please adhere to the torque indi-

cation for tightening as provided by the screw
manufacturer.

Please note: These parts are not included in the
box.
Remove the closing cover.
To do so, please remove the three securing
strips and where necessary the protective
film*1 of the closing module.

Connect the Series 5 device to the infra-
structure (cf. included manual for Series 5 door
intercom stations) and install it at the top end of
the column. Test the door intercom station.
Insert the closing module into the stainless
steel pillar and use the screws*
(6 pcs, M3 x 10mm) to fix it.
* Where the installation is not level, this may
lead to the column body being warped, which
then may result in problems concerning the
columns' waterproofness.
