keys or the knob (5MHz is recommended). Pressing the key of (Option 4) and selecting "Cal. Code", the
calibrating code of the carrier frequency will be changed to green. Use the cymometer to measure the
frequency of channel A. At the same time, modify the calibrating code by the knob. The frequency of
channel A will be changed until the accuracy is calibrated up to 5.00 MHz.
10.1.4 Calibrating of offset of frequency modulation:
Pressing the key of (Option 2) and selecting "FM Devia", the deviat of frequency modulation will be changed
to green. It can be entered by the number keys or the knob (1% is recommended). Pressing the key of
(Option 4) and selecting "Cal. Code", the calibrating code of the offset of frequency modulation will be
changed to green. Use the modulation meter to measure the offset of frequency modulation. At the same
time, modify the calibrating code by the knob. The offset of frequency modulation will be changed until the
-3
accuracy is calibrated up to 10
.
10.1.5 Calibrating of depth of amplitude modulation:
Pressing the key of (Option 3) and selecting "AM Depth", the depth of amplitude modulation will be changed
to green. It can be entered by the number keys or the knob (100% is recommended). Pressing the key of
(Option 4) and selecting "Cal. Code", the calibrating code of the depth of amplitude modulation will be
changed to green. Use the modulation meter to measure the depth of amplitude modulation. At the same
time, modify the calibrating code by the knob. The depth of amplitude modulation will be changed until the
accuracy is calibrated up to 100%.
After the calibrating is done, pressing the key of (Option 4) and selecting "Cal. Code", the value of calibrating
code is changed to green. Any number except 6000 is entered by the number keys. Pressing the key of (ok)
, "Now calibrating is impossible" will be in red.
Calibrating state quits. The calibrating code is stored in non-losable memorizer so that they will not be lost
even if the power is off. Unless calibrating again will the calibrating code be renewed.
10.2 Parameter calibration(2)
The amplitude and offset cannot be calibrated via the keyboard. If the error is too big, the following
calibrating method can be adopted.
10.2.1 Calibration of amplitude of channel A:
Open the package and select the function of "CHA Freq". Select sine waveform with the frequency of 1kHz
and the amplitude of 7 Vrms. Using the voltage meter with real virtual value measures the output AC
voltage. Micro-potentiometer RP2 is used to calibrate output voltage to (7±0.02) Vrms. Select square
waveform with the frequency of 200 kHz and the amplitude of 10 Vrms and Micro-potentiometer RP6 to
calibrate output voltage to(10±0.1) Vrms.
10.2.2 Calibration of offset of channel A:
Set the attenuation of channel A to be 00 dB, the amplitude to be 0 V, the offset to be 0 V to measure the
output DC voltage. Use micro- potentiometer RP4 to calibrate the zero point to 0 V±5 mV. Set the offset to
be 10 V to measure the output DC voltage. Use micro- potentiometer RP41 to calibrate the output voltage to
(10±0.1) V.
