8.8.1 Press〖Burst〗softkey to enter the interface of burst output and "N Cycle Burst" is displayed on the
upper-left of screen.
8.8.2 The current selected option is Select current "burst period"; use numeric keys or knob to set burst
period to 20 ms.
8.8.3 Press〖BurstCout〗softkey to select "burst count" and set it to 2 cycle by using numeric keys or knob.
8.8.4 Press〖StartPhas〗softkey to select "start phase" and set it to 180°by using numeric keys or knob.
After setting, the generator outputs burst waveform with the parameters.
Press 〖ContBurt〗 softkey and select "single burst". In single mode, each time you
press〖ManuTrigr〗, burst runs only once.
8.9 Exterior Count PeakTech
Pressing the key of (Count) and selecting "Ext Count", the interface of exterior measuring will be displayed.
The generator can be used as a frequency counter and to do frequency measuring and counting measuring.
8.9.1 Conversion of exterior signal and interior signal:
Pressing the key of "Count" and selecting "signal of channel A", the signal of channel A can be used as an
interior signal source to do self-testing and demonstrate for the measuring function of the generator. The
frequency of channel A will be changed to green. It can be entered by the number keys or by the knob.
Pressing the key of "Count" and selecting "Ext Sourc", the interface of exterior measuring will be displayed.
The generator can be used as a frequency counter and to do frequency measuring and counting measuring.
8.9.2 Measuring of frequency counting:
Pressing the key of
frequencies for the exterior and interior signals and the result will be shown on the top right of the screen in
red. In the measuring, the signal to be measured must be continuous but the measuring is intermittent. The
settled gate time is taken as the period, sampling the measured signal and computation the measuring
result. The displayed will be updated.
Pressing the key of "Count" and selecting "Cycles", the generator can be used to measure the period
numbers for the exterior and interior signals and the result will be shown on the top right of the screen in red.
Counting measuring is continuous. The iterated counting result will vary with the input of signal pulse.
8.9.3 Resetting of the counter:
Pressing the key of "Count" and selecting "Count On", the generator begins to do frequency measuring and
counting measuring. Pressing the key of "Count" and selecting "Clear", the measured result will be displayed
0. For frequency measuring, the result is updated in the period of gate time constantly. "measuring
resetting" is not needed. Selecting "measuring start" will be ok. In the counting measuring, the signal to be
measured is discontinuous. During the pause of the signal, select "measuring resetting" to display in 0.
Selecting "measuring start", next measuring will begin.
Without "measuring resetting", each result will be accumulated and displayed synchronously. So it is
meaningless if the signal to be measured is continuous.
