Using the longitudinal stop
Cutting width (Fig. 10)
• Use the longitudinal stop for longitudinal cuts.
• The longitudinal stop (5) can be fixed to each side of the bench plate.
• To use the scale, move the stop to the saw blade and measure the distan-
ce at the scale. Now slide the stop away from the saw blade. The mea-
sured difference corresponds to the cutting depth. In order to obtain an
exact value, it is necessary to make a test cut, measure the workpiece and
re-adjust the stop.
• Lift the locking lever and slide the stop into the desired position.
• Pull the locking lever tight again.
Stop height (Fig. 10.1-10.2)
• The longitudinal stop (5+6) supplied with the benchtype circular saw has
two different guide faces.
• For thick material you must use the longitudinal rail (5) as shown in Fig.
10.1, for thin material you must use the stop rail as shown in Fig.10.2.
• To change over the longitudinal rail (5+6) to the lower guide face you have
to slacken the two knurled screws (7) in order to disconnect the longitudi-
nal rail (6) from the holder (5).
• Remove the two knurled screws (7) through the one slot (8) in the longitu-
dinal rail (6) and insert in the other slot.
