5.7 If the doctor has granted permission to shower

Interruption of therapy
• Should it prove necessary to interrupt the therapy and switch the
Suprasorb
for longer than two hours at a time within a period of 24 hours. The therapy must
WARNING
be continued after max. two hours. If the therapy is interrupted for longer than two
hours, the dressing must be changed before it can be restarted.
If the doctor has granted you permission to shower, proceed as follows:
1. Close the tube clamps on the exudate pouch tube and drainage pad tube.
2. Switch the therapy to Pause mode (see Section 5.5).
3. Disconnect the two tubes and leave the device next to your bed whilst you shower.
4. After showering, connect the two tubes again (see Section 3.3)
and restart the therapy (see Section 5.5).

6 Handling error messages

6.1 Function test

Proceed as described in Section 3.2.

6.2 Device does not start

Error Possible cause
• Battery is empty
• Tube clamp is closed
Device does • Overflow prevention system is blocked
not start (exudate pouch is full)
• Internal filter blocked
• Device is still in Settings mode

Remedy
• Connect power supply
• Check that tubes are connected
correctly
• Replace exudate pouch
• Confirm selection (see Section 3.2)
and start the device
