5.1 Battery Operation
Important notes when handling the battery
The device contains a Lithium ion battery. Don't expose it to excessive heat, direct sunlight, or
open fire.
Never toss batteries into the fire, there's danger of explosion!
Avoid contact with skin and eyes, if liquids should leak out due to battery damage. Rinse the
affected areas immediately with water and look for medical attendance.
Immediately contact our service when batteries had been damaged.
The battery can only be replaced by an authorized service partner. Never open the device to
replace the battery.
Only use the supplied power supply (Ref. no. 55965, refer to
charging and observe the instructions to charge the battery.

Important
In order to ensure a long service life, the battery must be charged completely when first
charged. The first charging procedure should not be interrupted.
The charging status of the batteries is displayed on the Display <1>:

How to Charge the Battery
CAUTION
During the charging procedure, the patient must neither be connected with the titanium
neutral element, nor with the hand applicator!
(1) Plug the supplied power adapter into the Power Adapter Socket <5> on the bottom of the device.
The battery symbol will start to flash to indicate that the battery is being loaded.
(2) Unplug the power adapter from the device when the charging procedure is finished.
