Separate the boom fitting 4.32 from the etching
plate, clean up the separation points and bend
90° at the bending lines.
The boom fitting is glued on and can be se-
cured with nails 4.34. The nails must be short-
ened. Glue in the ball head 4.33.

Cut out the 3 flange plates 4.35 from the
etched plate and clean them up. Bend 3 bows
out of wire. As with the attachment of the
4.25 – 4.27
mainsheet, the brackets are not glued into the
mast until step 6.

Cut out the fittings for the mainsheet and

downhaul 4.38 from the etched plate. Clean up
the edge and bend it into a 'U' at the fold lines.

The dimensions for attaching the downhaul
and mainsheet are shown in drawing 5.
Use wire to bend the brackets into which the
blocks are hung.
The brackets are not glued to the boom until
construction stage 6, when the mast is erected
and the blocks are installed.
