Attach the rivets 6.8 in the 3 corners. To do
this, punch holes in the sail and push the rivets
through. For punching, use the brass tube 6.31
as a hole punch, the edge of which you can
bevel/sharpen slightly. Insert the rivet 6.8
through the punched hole. Push a washer 6.9
onto the opposite side and crimp the rivet, e.g.
using a suitable Phillips screwdriver as a
mandrel and light taps with a hammer.

Now attach the sail battens 6.10.
Cut the plastic strip into 80 mm, 2 x 90 mm and
70 mm long pieces. Cut the reinforcing tape
6.11 into stripes suitable for the battens. Nar-
row the stripes from 20 mm to 15 mm. Glue the
sail battens to the centre of the reinforcement
strips.

Attach the battens at the indicated positions.
