Tie the jib to the clew.
The forestay can now be tensioned with the
turnbuckle.

Now you need to attach the main boom.
Screw the boom fitting to the mast.
Refer to drawing 5 for the dimensions.
Drill 2 holes for the fastening screws 4.30 and
nuts 4.31 through the mast.
Fasten the boom fitting to the mast.

Attach the 2 brackets for the block of the
downhaul and the attachment of the mainsheet
and a cleat to the boom.

Glue the terminals 4.39 to the boom and pin
them with nails.
Drill the holes for the retaining brackets. Hang
in block 4.41 and glue the brackets into the
boom. Refer to drawing 5 for the dimensions.
The boom fitting with the ball can now be
hooked into the mast fitting. Tie the sail to the
boom with a 6.24 tether. Tie the sail to the
boom with line 6.24 with 2-3 lashes around the
boom. Tie a line to the clew and pull it through
the eye on the boom and attach it to the cleat
4.42, which is screwed on with 2 screws 4.43.
This allows the tension of the lower leech to be
adjusted.

For the downhaul, screw the flange plate 4.35
to the mast according to drawing 5. Bend a U-
bracket and attach a block 4.41. Glue the
bracket into the mast.
