ATTACHING A BUTTON
Fiat buttons can be sewn on by machine using
the zig-zag stitch.
• Insert needle plate raising shim as m-
structed on page 11.
1. Set stitch width selector at :
• Set needle Position at left
• Place button positioned on faboc under
foot and lower needie mto centre of left
hole.
• ower presser foot.
• Tum hand wheel foward you untü the
needle rises out of button hote and iS
just above the presser foot
2 Set stitch width selector to a med ' tv
zig-zag setting
• Continue turning hand wheet unt * n e
needle is above right hole, adsust sttch
width, as necessary. untü neecTe entere
the centre of the right hole.
• Take six or more zig-zag sbtcbes and fin-
ish with the needle on the >eft.
3. Move stitch width selector to i and take a
few stitches to fasten threeds
• Pull thread ends through to bacK of Pi ­
ment knot dose to fabnc and snc off
loose ends of thread.
