Stitch Balance Dial Neutral Position
Buttonhole Foot
Aiways make a test buttonhole on a sample in
your fabric. Be sure to duplicate thickness ot
garment and include interfacing.
|f the two lines of stitching in your sample are
of unequal density refer to the next page.
Place work ander buttonhole foot. align centre
mark ng of buttonhole A with red line on foot.
and a>ign end marking of buttohole B with
horizontal line on foot. Do not lower the
needle.
FOUR-STEP BUTTONHO ING
Step 1: Side Stitching
Turn buttonhole dial toward right to step 1.
Position needle in fabrtc at point A ower foot
and stitch to end of buttonhole t point B 1 End
marking should be aligned with horizontal line
on foot.
Step 2: Bar Tack
Raise needle above fabnc by turning hand to ­
ward you.
Turn buttonhole dial toward left to Step 2. Take
four or five sutches (point C).
