ROTOCLEAR C PRO
This update process may take several minutes.
During this time, it will not be possible to use the
camera system. After the update is complete, the
control unit will restart. It may be necessary to
reload the web interface after this happens.
Customer service for the product can only be
provided for the current software version.
There are several ways to update the software on
the control unit.
Online Update (message)
Prerequisite:
1. Control unit must have Internet access.
2. Web interface or video port interface (HDMI or
DisplayPort) is open.
The user interface automatically notifies you as
soon as an update is available. Click on "Update"
and wait until the update is complete.
Online Update (menu)
Prerequisite:
1. Control unit must have Internet access.
2. Web interface or video port interface (HDMI or
DisplayPort) is open.
As soon as an update is available, this is also dis-
played in the settings under "System" in the
"Control unit update" section. To check for new
updates manually, click on the update icon. If a
newer version is found, click on "Update" to install
the update.
80
Manual update (drag & drop)
Prerequisite:
1. Software file has been downloaded from
rotoclear.com/en/cpro-downloads
2. Web interface is open.
Drag and drop the software file into the browser
window with the open web interface. Confirm the
dialogue with "OK" and wait until the update is
complete.
Manual update (USB storage medium)
Prerequisite:
1. Software file has been downloaded from
rotoclear.com/en/cpro-downloads
2. Web interface or video port interface (HDMI or
DisplayPort) is open.
Copy the software file to the root directory of a
USB storage medium and insert it into a USB port
on the control unit. In the menu, a button appears
under "System" in the section "Manual update".
Alternatively, the update can also be selected
from a subdirectory by clicking on "Select soft-
ware file". Click on "Update" and wait until the
update is complete.
As soon as a newer software file is detected on a
storage medium, a message appears. A count-
down begins, after which the update is automat-
ically installed. To cancel, you can confirm the
message with "Cancel" or remove the USB stor-
age medium.
Do not remove the storage device or the
power supply once the update process has
started.
OPERATING MANUAL
Resetting to factory settings
If you want to restore the camera system soft-
ware to its factory settings or if the Control unit
software no longer starts or obviously only works
incorrectly (e.g. due to a faulty configuration,
interrupted or failed update), it can be reset to the
factory settings. If the user interface is no longer
accessible, it is possible to restore the factory set-
tings using the reset button on the back (Fig. 4-B).
Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
During the reset, all user-specific settings are
deleted and reset to the factory settings.
SwipeZoom
With the mouse wheel or a zoom gesture, you can
operate the zoom function. The zoomed section
can be panned with a left click or a touch gesture.
When the zoom function is activated, a slider and
an interactive position display of the section is
shown in the middle at the top of the screen. This
display is also shown when you click on the zoom
indicator located there.
For camera heads in which a wide-angle lens and a
telemetric lens are available, the system automat-
ically switches back and forth between the lenses
if a corresponding zoom level is exceeded in the
zoom function. The zoom status at the top center
of the screen can also be used to switch manually
between wide-angle and telemetric optics.
Focusing
The camera head can either be preset to one
or two fixed focus positions or equipped with
focusable lenses or a combination of both.
81
Focusable lenses can be focused on a desired
image area by double-clicking on the stream (tap
focus). For this purpose, the focus indicator is dis-
played at the desired position, which can also be
used to focus manually using the slider.
The tap focus function works best on clearly vis-
ible edges or transitions with high contrast. On
monochrome surfaces, the focus point may not
be found or may not be found immediately. In this
case, focus on another nearby point or manually
using the slider.
With camera heads that have two optics set to
fixed focus ranges, you can use the zoom indi-
cator to switch back and forth between the two
focus ranges.
Storage
The internal memory is available as standard
for image and video recording and for the visual
backup function (see chapter "Visual backup").
External storage media or network storage can
also be used, but it is recommended to use the
internal memory for all recordings.
Internal memory
A hard disk is integrated in the Control unit. This
varies in size depending on the configuration. The
internal memory is selected by default.
Integrating as a network drive
The internal memory can be made available as
a network drive in the network to enable direct
access to recordings, photos or visual backup
