4.0 Installation
4.1 General
Check for damage after unpacking the PinTherm Infra Connect and external sensors supplied
with it. Check that the type/ model and electrical voltage are correct.
4.2 PinTherm Infra Connect assembly
Determine a suitable place for installing the PinTherm Infra Connect. Mount the PinTherm Infra
Connect on a solid surface that can carry a minimum of 4 kg. We recommend mounting the
PinTherm Infra Connect at a height of ±1.5m from the floor, at a well reachable place.
For cable gland use only cable glands fitted with strain relief, with a minimum fire class of UL94V2.
Check that the power supply has been switched off before connecting any wiring. If this is not the
case, the power supply must be switched off before you continue. When switching off the power
supply of the appliance to which connection is to be made, you should also refer to the technical
documentation/operating instructions for the appliance in question.
Connect the PinTherm Infra Connect according to one of the electrical diagrams provided at
the back of this technical manual. To select the correct wiring diagram, you need to
know to which type of appliance you will be connecting the PinTherm Infra Connect. See also
Appendix I for a selection.
4.3 Assembly of external globe sensor
Place the external globe sensor draught-free within view of the appliance at a height of
approx.1.5m off the floor and connect the sensor to the terminals identified for this purpose in
the PinTherm Infra Connect. See table below for the correct cable diameter.
