3 Installation/connection/setting up
3.8.3 Using system interface
(rear panel mounted RS485, "Digital-I/O" option)
1. Install the PC software delivered with the RS232
interface cable onto your computer.
2. Connect the rear mounted system interface with your
computer. (For connections see "Connections" in this
chapter).
3. Call up the operating programme.
Please make shure that the RS232 / RS485 convertor
supports automatic switching between transmitting and
receiving (e.g. W+T type 86000).

Computer with RS232 interface and RS232/RS485 con-
vertor connected to a number of units in a series loop.
Pleas take note of the manufacturers connection in-
structions for the convertor.
