3 Installation/connection/setting up
3.8.2 Setting up using the operating interface (front
mounted, RS 232)
1. Install the PC software delivered with the RS232
interface cable onto your computer.
2. Connect the front mounted operating interface with
your computer. Use the RS232 interface cable.
Before connecting the 9 pin plug to your PC, first
connect the stereo plug into the socket on the recorder.
When disconnecting follow this instruction in reverse
order.

Connections can be found on page 40, "Connections /
terminal layout").
Avoid electrostatic discharge at the front mounted
socket.
3. Call up the operating programme. Using this
programme you can easily set up your recorder, save
the parameters on hard drive or transmit these to other
recorders.
