8. Maintenance instrucon
To ensure that the instrument is always efficient, it is advisable to recalibrate it periodically; check
the calibraon date on the documents annually. The recalibraon frequency is not a fixed figure,
but linked to the use of the equipment: the more it is used, the more frequently it must be
recalibrated; our advice is to recalibrate the calibrator at least once a year. To recalibrate the
instrument, it is necessary to have a cerfied temperature sample and follow the instrucons in
chapter 11.
Check the power supply cable and replace it if damaged.
Keep the calibrator away from dust and prevent the fans from sucking dirt from the boom of the
machine or worse from being blocked; check cleanliness.
If necessary, clean the cooling sink by blowing air from the top of the grille with a compressed air
gun.
Periodically check that the holes and the inserts are cleaned and do not contain oils or foreign
liquids that could form oxides or dirt in high temperature heang

PYROS 140 models:
Use below freezing produces ice and condensaon. To always have the inserts clean, at the end of
each use at sub-zero temperatures, remember to bring the calibrator to 70°-80°C at least for the
stabilizaon me in order to allow the water to evaporate, then set the room temperature and
leave cool the calibrator before turning it off.
The water remaining in the inserts causes the oxidaon of the aluminium resulng in the insert
becoming blocked in the hole.
To avoid this problem, always remember to evaporate the water and remove the inserts from the
calibrator at the end of use.
