6.1.3 Main switch
The main switch assembly (2) is located on the front of the calibrator. It consists of an IEC
connector for the power supply cable, the on/off switch and a fuse as specified below:
LR- Cal PYROS 140-1L
• for 110/115 VAC

• for 110/115 VAC:
• for 230 VAC:
Before commissioning the
models, you MUST ensure that the correct fuse for your voltage (110/115 or 230 VAC)
is inserted. For removal and installa�on of the fuse, see chapter 4.1.4
6.1.4 Cooling/hea�ng device resp. hea�ng resistance
• Models LR- Cal PYROS 140-1L
The hea�ng/cooling system consists of PELTIER cells that rest on an internal equalizing block
with an opening for the inserts.
• Models LR- Cal PYROS 375-DNV
The hea�ng resistor (max. 600 W) is made of stainless steel. It can reach the maximum
temperature of the calibrator.
Please note that con�nuous use at extreme temperatures shortens the service life of
Pel�er elements or hea�ng resistors. Therefore, limit the �me during which the
calibrator is used at maximum temperatures to the �me required for calibra�on in
order to extend the service life of the Pel�er elements or hea�ng resistors.
6.1.5 Equalizing block
The equalizing block is made of aluminum or copper. Model

sleeves are provided with holes that allow them to be used with different sensor diameters. The
func�on of the compensa�on block is to keep the temperature in the calibra�on zone very
uniform. In order to achieve maximum accuracy of the inserted probes in rela�on to the internal
probe of the calibrator, it is recommended to stay in the op�mum calibra�on zone
