6.2.2 Calibra�on instruc�ons
Before any calibra�on, follow the general recommenda�ons:
• Start any calibra�on only at ambient temperature. Thermal shock can break the sensi�ve
element of the probe and cause harm to the operator.
• Use a block insert, with holes suitable to the probe diameter.
• Insert the probe into a suitable hole, see chapter 5.2 (fig. 1 and 2).
• Switch on the calibrator with the main switch (2). Wait for the end of the self-test procedure.
The display then shows
to access the set point.
1) Set the required temperature value on the display (2nd. line)

2) Press the key (Enter) to confirm the input value.

3) Wait for the stabiliza�on of the calibrator before star�ng
any calibra�on.
This icon is flashing when stabiliza�on is reached:
• For working at further temperature set points, repeat steps
1) to 3). Wait for the stabiliza�on before you start comparing
the temperature values.
• The temperature value shown in the 1st. line of the diplay is
for orienta�on only. For more accurate calibra�ons work with
calibra�on method b) described in chapter 6.2.1, with external
reference thermometer.
