OPERATION
Before use
Connect each component correctly, and then
plug the power cord into an AC wall outlet.
Basic operation
1. Press the POWER button to on.
2. Select the speaker system with the SPEAK-
ERS buttons.
3. Perform the following steps as required.
4. Adjust the volume and balance to your pre-
ference.
5. Use the BASS/TREBLE knobs to obtain the
required tone.
Presetting to selected stations (FM or AM)
There are two ways to preset stations using the
TUNING buttons 1. Auto tuning/manual
tuning, 2.. Auto memory function.
1 Auto tuning/manual tuning
1. Press the FM or AM button.
2. Tune- to a desired station by pressing the
TUNING UP or DOWN button (for auto
tuning) or by tapping it (for manual tuning).
3. Press the MEMORY button so that the
MEMORY indicator lights.
. Press one of the 10 KEY numeric keys.
. Perform the same pre-tuning procedure
(steps 2, 3, 4) for any other channels. Pre-
tuning is possible for up to 40 stations (for
FM and AM).
2. How to operate the auto memory function
(Refer to @ AUTO MEMORY button on
page 21.)
. Press the FM or AM button.
2. Tune to the frequency from which you wish
the AUTO MEMORY function to start scan-
ning.
3. Press the AUTO MEMORY button and one
of the preset channel 10 KEY buttons. The
AUTO MEMORY indicator lights and auto
scanning starts from the displayed fre-
quency towards higher frequencies. When
a broadcast is received, the TUNED in-
dicator lights and the selected station
number flashes. If you do not press the
AUTO MEMORY button again, the MEM-
ORY indicator and the channel number light
together and the frequency is stored in
memory. This continues until the preset
channel with the highest number has a fre-
quency in its memory or auto scanning
reaches the highest frequency.
Listening to broadcasts
1. Press the FM or AM button
2. Press the desired station select button to
listen to any channel. The channel number
corresponding to the button pressed is
shown in the display.
Notes:
@ Adjust the antenna so that the TUNED indi-
cator is lit.
@When FM broadcast signals are too weak to
be received, press the FM MODE/MUTE but-
ton to display "MONO"/"OFF".

Grundsatzliche Bedienung
1. Die POWER-Taste dricken.
2. Das Lautsprechersystem mit den SPEAK-
ERS-Tasten wahlen.
3. Die unten beschriebenen Schritte je nach
vorgesehener Verwendung durchfihren.
4. Lautstarke und Balance nach Wunsch ein-
stellen.
5. Zur Einstellung des gewtinschten Klang-
bildes die BASS/T REBLE-Regler verwenden.
Senderspeicherung (UKW oder MW)
Es gibt zwei Médglichkeiten, Sender mit den
TUNING-Tasten zu speichern 1, Automa-
tische Abstimmung/manuelle Abstimmung, 2.
Auto-Speicherfunktion.
1 Automatische Abstimung/manuelle Abstim-
mung
1. Die FM- oder AM-Taste driicken.
2. Die TUNING-Taste fiir automatische Ab-
stimmung driicken oder fiir manuelle Ab-
stimmung antippen, um den gewinschten
Sender einzustellen.
3. Die MEMORY-Taste driicken, so da die
MEMORY-Anzeige leuchtet.
4. Eine der numerischen Tasten driicken.
5. Die gleiche Bedienung (Schritte 2, 3, 4) fir
die verbleibenden Kandle durchfihren. Bis
zu 40 Sender (16 UKW- und 16 MW-Sender)
k6nnen gespeichert werden.
2. Bedienung der Auto-Speicherfunktion
(Sicehe @ AUTO MEMORY-Taste auf
Siete 21.)
1. Die FM- oder AM-Taste driicken.
2. Auf die Frequenz einstellen, von der aus
die AUTO MEMORY-Funktion mit dem
Absuchen beginnen soll.
3. Die AUTO MEMORY-Taste und eine
numerische taste (10 KEY) driiken. Die
AUTO MEMORY-Anzeige leuchtet, und das
automatische Absuchen in Aufwartsrichtung
beginnt bei der angezeigten Frequenz.
Wenn ein Radiosender eingestellt ist, leuch-
tet die TUNED-Anzeige, und die gewahite
Sendernummer blinkt. Wird die AUTO
MEMORY-Taste nicht gedriickt, leuchten
die MEMORY-Anzeige und diese Kanal-
nummer gemeinsam, und die Frequenz wird
gespeichert. Dies wird solange fortgesetzt,
bis die héchste Kanalnummer der Stations-
tasten eine Frequenz gespeichert hat bzw.
die Automatikabtastung die hdchste Fre-
quenz erreicht.
HGren von Radiosendungen
1. Die FM- oder AM-Taste driicken.
2. Zum HGren eines gespeicherten Senders die
entsprechende Stationstaste driicken. Die
Kanalnummer entsprechend der gedriickten
Taste wird auf dem Display angezeigt.
Hinweise:
@ Die Antenne so ausrichten, da& die TUNED-
Anzeige leuchtet.
e@Wenn ein UKW-Sender zu schwach fiir guten
Empfang ist, die FM MODE/MUTE-Taste
driicken, so da& "MONO"/"OFF" angezeigt
wird.

FONCTIONNEMENT
Avant utilisation
Raccorder correctement chaque appareil, et
puis brancher te cordon d'alimentation 4 une
prise secteur.
Fonctionnement de base
1. Presser la touche POWER sur marche.
2. Sélectionner les haut-parleurs avec les
touches SPEAKERS.
3. Effectuer les étapes suivantes selon le
besoin.
4, Régler le volume et la balance 4 votre gout.
5. Utiliser les boutons BASS/TREBLE pour
obtenir la tonalité voulue.
Préréglage des stations préréglées (FM ou
AM)
ll y a deux facons de prérégler les stations en
utilisant les touches TUNING 1. Syntonisa-
tion automatique/syntonisation manuelle, 2.
Fonction de mémoire automatique.
1 Syntonisation automatique/syntonisation
manuelle
1. Appuyer sur la touche FM ou AM.
2. Syntoniser sur la station voulue en appuyant
sur la touche TUNING UP ou DOWN (pour
la syntonisation automatique} ou en la
rentrant (pour la syntonisation manuelle).
3. Appuyer sur la touche MEMORY pour que
'indicateur MEMORY s'allume.
4. Appuyer sur une des 10 touches numériques
(10 KEY).
5. Effectuer la m&me procédure de présyntoni-
sation (étapes 2, 3, 4) pour jes autres
canaux. La présyntonisation est possible
pour jusqu'a 40 stations (pour FM et AM).
2 Fonctionnement de la fonction de mémoire
automatique
(Se reporter a ® Touche de mémoire
automatique (AUTO MEMORY 4 la page 21.)
. Appuyer sur la touche FM ou AM.
2. Syntoniser sur la fréquence a partir de
laquelle vous voulez que la fonction AUTO
MEMORY commence le balayage.
3. Appuyer sur la touche AUTO MEMORY et
une des touches numériques de canal préréglé
(10 KEY). L'Inidcateur AUTO MEMORY
s'allume et le balayage automatique com-
mence a partir de la fréquence affichée vers
des fréquences plus élevées.
Quand une émission est recue, l'indicateur
TUNED s'altume et le numéro de station
sélectionnée clignote. Si vous n'appuyez pas
a nouveau sur la touche AUTO MEMORY,
l'indicateur MEMORY et le numéro de canal
s'allument ensemble et la fréquence est mise
en mémoire. Ceci continue jusqu'a ce que le
canal de numéro le plus élevé ait une fré-
quence en mémoire ou que le balayage
automatique ait atteint la fréquence la plus
élevée,

Ecoute des émissions
1. Appuyer sur la touche FM ou AM.
2. Appuyer sur ja touche de sélection de sta-
tion voulue pour écouter n'importe quel
canal. Le numéro de canal correspondant 4
la touche pressée apparait dans l'affichage.
Remarques:
e Régler l'antenne pour que 'indicateur
TUNED s'allume.
eSi des signaux d'émissions FM sont trop
faibles pour étre recus, appuyer sur la touche
FM MODE/MUTE pour afficher "MONO"'/
"OFF".
