Installation

The machine must be installed as per the instructions in this manual.
The machine can be used both with a mains water connection and in water
tank mode. Depending on the type of use, there are different requirements for
installation. These will be explained in more detail in the following chapters.
The machine is delivered in water tank mode by default.
7.1

Requirements at the installation site

The following conditions must be met at the installation site:
• The installation surface must be stable and horizontal.
• The installation surface must be water-resistant.
• The installation surface must not be hot.
• The installation surface must be sufficiently load-bearing for the weight
of the machine and its accessories.
• There must be a socket for connecting the mains plug.
7.2

Connecting to the power supply

Danger to life by electrical voltage
There is a risk of fatal electrical shock if the machine is connected to the
wrong voltage.
• Only connect the machine to a socket with a voltage that matches that
specified on the nameplate. The nameplate can be found on the front of
the machine in the drip tray holder.
• Only connect the machine to an earthed socket.
• Fully unwind the mains cable. Do not bend or crush it.
• Do not use extension cables or power strips.
