Mover smart M RS1
WARNING
Fire hazard due to the control unit being
covered inside the caravan
If the control unit is inadequately ventilated, it
may overheat during operation
Do not cover the control unit
Ensure adequate air circulation
NOTICE
Uncontrolled movements due to activation
of the battery cut-off switch when the drive
rollers are engaged.
The manoeuvring system can move off in an un-
controlled manner as soon as the power supply
is established due to faulty wiring or a fault in
the control unit
Only activate the battery cut-off switch when
the drive rollers are disengaged
NOTICE
Damage due to modification of the wiring
harness
If modifications are made to the wiring harness
of the manoeuvring system or additional con-
sumers are connected, this may damage the
manoeuvring system and will render the war-
ranty and guarantee null and void
Do not make modifications to the wiring
harness of the manoeuvring system
Do not connect additional consumers to the
wiring harness
Please ensure that no metal chips or other contami-
nants get into the control unit during installation
The manoeuvring system is only suitable for connection
to 12 V batteries (DC voltage)
The electrical installation must comply with the tech-
nical and administrative regulations of the respective
destination country (eg EN 1648-1) National regula-
tions and rules must be followed
When choosing the installation location, remember that
a battery cut-off switch can still be installed
Position the antenna so that the radio connection is not
interrupted (eg not in a metal housing or near other
electrical devices)
The battery cut-off switch is supplied as standard
For connecting the battery cut-off switch, see Chapter
63
Two connector cables are factory-fitted to each drive
unit for the drive motor
Mark the relevant motor connector cables (drive unit
A or B – see also connecting diagram) and temporar-
ily route them along the underbody of the caravan to
the location where the control unit is to be installed
In any case, the control unit must be installed inside
the caravan in a dry place and so that it is protected
from moisture An example of a suitable location for the
control unit is in a bed stowage box in close proximity
to the manoeuvring system, at least 40 cm away from
the battery
At a distance of approx 150 mm from the control
unit connection strip, mark a hole with a diameter of
60040-00463 ∙ 00 ∙ 09/2023
25 mm on the floor of the caravan through which to
pass the wiring looms
Drill the hole and pass the cables through the floor
of the caravan to the control unit, routing them in
such a way that they cannot chafe (especially where
they pass through metal panels)
Use the corrugated pipes provided to prevent dam-
age to cables
