distribution board in the vehicle Secure the device
against being switched on again
Motorhomes and caravans may have self-sufficient 230
V AC power supplies (eg inverters, generators, solar
panels)
Take the self-sufficient power supply into account
Motorhomes and caravans may have an external socket
for the mains supply
When carrying out electrical work in the vehicle,
ensure that nobody else can accidentally plug a live
connector cable into the external socket
Prevent the connection of an external power supply,
eg insert a dummy plug with the warning "Cau-
tion! Electrical work in the vehicle" into the external
socket
2.3.2 Battery voltage 12 V DC
Parts of the device are powered by 12 V batteries via
the vehicle's on-board power supply In the event of
high electrical loads or a short circuit, very high cur-
rents can flow through the supply lines, potentially
causing the cables to heat up, a cable fire to break out
and strong sparks and arcs to be produced
Use sufficient cable cross-sections
Fuse cables with appropriate safety fuses
Cover the battery poles
Cover open electrical contacts
Use isolated plug-in connectors
2.4
Device safety
2.4.1 Instructions affixed to the device
Observe the instructions affixed directly to the de-
vice
Instructions affixed to the device must always be
legible
2.4.2 Protective devices attached to the device
Risk of injury if safety devices are missing or faulty
After installation, attach all safety devices (covers,
safety instructions, earth cable, etc)
Exchange or replace faulty safety devices that have
become unusable
2.4.3 Genuine spare parts
Avoid property damage due to incorrect additional
components, spare and wear parts Non-approved
components, spare and wear parts that have not been
tested with the system may damage the device and the
vehicle The installation of non-approved components,
spare and wear parts as well as non-approved modifica-
tions and conversions are deemed to be improper and
may limit the function, safety and warranty
Only use genuine components, spare and wear parts
from Truma Gerätetechnik GmbH & Co KG
Do not use parts that are damaged
Use screws with sealant only once

Approval
An acceptance test by a vehicle expert is not usually
necessary if the device is installed correctly in accord-
ance with the installation instructions and the ABE
(general vehicle type approval)
Exceptions: Acceptance by a vehicle expert is required
for installation of a low chassis kit and whenever the
chassis geometry deviates from the descriptions in the
installation instructions
The manoeuvring system complies with other require-
ments of EC Directives and Standards (see Declaration
of Conformity)
Any modifications made to the device, opening the
housing or the use of any spare parts or functionally
significant accessories other than Truma original parts,
or failure to comply with the contents of the operating
and installation instructions invalidates the warranty
and precludes any liability claims This will also invali-
date the operating permit for the device
