7.3 Überprüfung des Werkstücks
Die Kontaktfläche zwischen dem zu blockierenden Werkstück
und der Magnetplatte muss so groß wie möglich sein, um
einen optimalen Durchgang des Magnetflusses, der von den
Polen der Platte ausgeht, zu ermöglichen.
Eine erhöhte Rauheit der Kontaktfläche führt aufgrund des
hohen Wertes des magnetischen Widerstandes der Luft zu
einer Reduzierung des zirkulierenden Magnetflusses und
damit zu einer Reduzierung der Verankerungskraft des
Werkstücks.
Deshalb Werkstücke mit hochwertigen Oberflächenbearbei-
tungen und großen Kontaktflächen bevorzugen.

7.4 Oberflächennachbearbeitung bei
Hybridspannfutter
Um die Magnetoberfläche des Hybridspannfutters wieder
optimal herzustellen, kann die Fläche bis zu ca. 3 mm durch
Abschleifen nachbearbeitet werden (siehe Abbildung unten).
Sind die Polschuhe soweit abgeschliffen, dass Durchbrüche
von Bohrungen sichtbar werden, diese durch SCHUNK-
Original-Ersatzteile ersetzen.
7.3 Checking the workpiece
The contact surface between the workpiece to be blocked and
the magnetic plate has to be as large as possible to enable an
optimal flow of the magnetic flux, which goes from pole to
pole.
An increased roughness of the contact surfaces leads to a
reduction of the circulating magnetic flux due to the high
resistance value of air, which in turn leads to a reduction of
the anchoring force of the workpiece.
For this reason, workpieces with high-quality and large con-
tact surfaces are to be preferred.

7.4 Surface reworking for hybrid chucks
In order restore the magnetic surface of the hybrid chuck to
optimal condition, up to about three mm can be ground off the
surface (see illustration below). If the pole shoes are ground
down to the extent that the break through points of the bore
holes become visible, then they are to be replaced by
SCHUNK original spare parts.
